The white and black necklaces featured are all made from recycled cow bone,
with the black ones painted over.
The pāua shell necklaces are all made from resin,
then overlaid with the pāua. Pāua itself originates from sea snails.
Some of our bone necklaces are also inlaid with pāua,
where the bone has been carved out and replaced by the pāua shell.
The mother of pearl necklaces are all made entirely from mother of pearl.
Each of our necklaces are hand-carved by skilled Balinese artisans,
so no two pieces are quite the same,
though they are carved in a similar fashion and appearance.
While our necklaces are resistant to wear and tear,
the pāua and mother of pearl necklaces (especially pikorua and koru) are more fragile.
The cords are also adjustable to a length of up to 32 inches altogether,
and are made to fit anyone.
We've never had a report of the material causing irritation.
