Customer FeedbackSome Feedback from our past Customers I spoke with you for a little while a few months back about how we were both young entrepreneurs, etc. and I’ve got the travel business. Long story short, I love my necklace and always get compliments and questions about it and my husband must have gotten jealous because he bought a similar one in black yesterday..lol. I just thought that was funny... it’s an awesome piece and always catches people’s eyes... Thanks! Angela
I wanted to say how much I like you necklaces and I am going to be buying a few for myself and as gifts. One comment, though... I am a skier (kayaker, hiker, runner, biker, etc) and not a snowboarder - I LOVE your thought that the safe passage over water can mean frozen water, but, hey, include skiers in that, too - we aren`t all bad! Oh, and my skis have beautiful Maori designs on them (Fischer went with Maori themes on a whole line of skis a few years ago) so I love the idea of safe passage over frozen water. Heck, it rains so much in Oregon, I could even consider it an amulet for running, too!
Peace

(This one was from a time when the twist with Paua was out of stock, but we got them in later that week and she and her brother got thier necklaces)I am not an accomplised kayaker, but i have rented them on occasion. I decided I wanted to get into it and bought a used whitewater boat. I went out on the Potomac here in the Washington DC area to try it out. There was no whitewater but the river was up. Anyway long story short...the spray skirt was really tight because it was old and had not been stretched in a long time. I got flipped over and held down by a strong current. I couldn`t get it upright and the skirt was stuck so I almost drowned. I was just a few seconds from passing out when I ripped the skirt off and got out. It was a very scary experience and I will wear the Koru as a symbol of my new life. Thanks for bringing us these.
Be safe,
Brian
I really want to buy 2 of your maori twists with paua shell necklaces. Right now my younger brother is going through a really tough time trying to find himself and his purpose in this world. I want him to know that he will never be alone even when he feels no one is there. When i left home to go to college two years ago I know it was especially hard on him as we have always been very close. I was hoping that you could let me know as soon as you have more of the paua shell twist necklaces so i can have one and give one to him. Thanks,
Sara
Back when the company first started, we sent out an e-mail questionnaire to some of our customers in an attempt to improve their experience. Here is what we got back, and we have continuously improved since this time (this was before the 120% guarantee). "I am very happy with the necklace, and will probably order others as gifts in the future...I first learned of your product from the ModernHiker website... The product arrived faster than I would have expected, and I was quite pleased with that." ---Scott from Rochester, NY "I loved the necklaces; so did my friends! You were very fast in shipping and I really loved the symbol explanation cards you enclosed with the jewelry. I have seen many explanations of the twist and yours was the most eloquent and personal. It really helped my friends understand the significance of this symbol. I searched for Maori bone necklaces on Google and your site was one of the first I went to. To be quite honest, yours was the only place I found the inexpensive necklace I was looking for. When I was in New Zealand I bought a few for my sons for 3 New Zealand dollars and I just kicked myself for not getting them for my friends. Yours was the only place I felt that I wasn`t being totally taken advantage of with the price! Thank-you! I thought you were fantastic." ---Jenny from Orem, Utah "I am so glad that you sent this e-mail to me because I was wishing that I could let you know how impressed I was with your service. The necklace is really beautiful. I have to admit that it is not for me, but for my boyfriend. He got one @ a kayaking festival last year in CO, but it broke just a few days before he set out for another summer in the mountains. He is also 21, a big kayaker, and works as a raft/mountain/rock climbing guide for a rafting company in Buena Vista. I am hoping that it truly will give him safe travel over water because they are so intense this year. I am really excited for him to get it! So, I heard about your website when I googled "maori" (with some other combination of words) and came upon a blog for mountain hikers in northern California. They mentioned your work and that you were a young guy(s) from NC and that you should be supported. So I took his advice and got to your website through the link he had posted. The shipping was great. I have no complaints there! As for your website, I really like that it was very simple to use. My favorite part was that you gave a description behind what each piece meant. That way I was sure on which one was the one he had before (and that he still may need!). The paypal worked out perfect. I think it would be pretty sweet if you had a quick section about you on there, to let your customers know who you are and what inspired you to start up this business. Other than that, I am completely satisfied. If I ever need another necklace, I know where to go! Good luck on the river this summer!" ---Leigh from Port Huron, Michigan |
